"NO IA"
VENTU aka Pedro Ventura, presents for the first time, a new approach to painting/sculpture .
A work that has been in development for years, where the motto is to move away from the conventional rectangular/circular and towards the organic.
Abstract painting on canvas and a wooden frame with unconventional, fluid and organic shapes.
A challenge to the established with influences from the art of Leon Polk Smith, Frank Stella, SolLewit, or the monochromatic forms of Henri Matisse, the sculpture of Alexandre Calder or the painting of Miró, this approach aims to "disturb" the status quo.
Pieces to disturb and/or enchant. Fluid, colorful, cheerful, decorative, restless, challenging, are some of the adjectives used by those who have already had contact with the pieces.
The message goes beyond doing something different. To build a language of comfort and beauty structured by shape and color, without identification with the existing.
"Beauty can be different".
A multi-universe in each piece, from the structure, to the layers, to the overlapping and varied readings, provoking a continuous cognitive stimulus, where the mind searches for what does not exist.
All twelve pieces are built from scratch by the author.
